HTC Merge CDMA with Android Froyo
In 2011, HTC officially announced the release of the new HTC Merge CDMA Android phone that will hit U.S. markets in spring 2011. The HTC Merge features a full QWERTY slide out keyboard and is powered by Android 2.2. The smartphone has a 3.8P touch screen display and contains a five megapixel camera. This marks the first Android based CDMA world phone as well.
Additionally, the HTC Merge will operate on Android 2.2. with dual mode CDMA/GSM functionality. It is unclear at this point which mobile telecommunications provider will offer the HTC Merge but it will be carried by multiple carriers.
HTC Merge comes with QWERTY sliding keyboard. Talking about the other specification, this phone is so good. Its 3.8 inch display with resolution 800×480 pixels will make this phone so comfort on your hand. Even tough equipped with QWERTY keyboard, it also uses touchscreen display to make sure that the customers will very enjoy in using this phone. The other feature of HTC merge is its 5 megapixel back facing camera with autofocus. It allows us to create video 720p. Not only that, this phone also comes with many connectivity features such as 3G support, GPS, Wifi and Bluetooth. All of the features will run on Android Froyo. We didn’t know whether it upgradeable to Gingerbread or not.
