The Pearl series is RIM's smallest version of its versatile handsets. An updated version is BlackBerry Pearl 3G which is compatible to dual band UMTS. There are many new features incorporated like support to 802.11n wireless for speedy WiFi connectivity and  Bluetooth 2.1 with stereo audio. It can also be used as tethered modem via a USB connector to your PC.
