Sony Ericsson Satio works under the Symbian S60 5th Edition platform. It has a proper 12.1 megapixel camera with all the features of a digital camera and a music player with a full range of multimedia playback options.
Sony Ericsson Satio has a rather bulky feel to it due to the camera-related gadgets in the phone. The front of the smartphone has a very minimal design with just three physical keys below the display screen (3.5 inches). It is available in three colors (Silver, Black and Bordeaux).
The best multimedia feature of the Satio is its 12.1 megapixel camera and the various features that come with it. The 16x digital zoom makes shooting far-off pictures possible. You can also record WVGA videos at 30 fps.
You can even listen to music on your wireless headset with its Bluetooth stereo. Games, music and even full length movies can be downloaded from the PlayNow application available on the phone. The a-GPS, Wisepilot navigation software and Google maps are preinstalled in the phone, so that you may never get lost again no matter where you go.
The Satio has a phone memory of 68 MB which is just a start-up memory to store messages and contact details. It supports the standard microSD cards and expandable memory of up to 16 GB.
The device can enjoy high speed internet at hotspot areas like the airport as it has Wi-Fi connectivity. The phone can also act as a modem when connected with a PC. For wireless connectivity, it supports Bluetooth 2.0 technology and wired transfer of files between the phone and other computers are made possible with its USB mass storage.
